World Brain Tumour Day is observed on 8th June, every year. The day spread awareness and educates people about brain tumor. There are various myths and misconceptions associated with a brain tumor. On this day let us have a look at the brain tumour and the history behind the celebration. German Brain Tumour Association (Deutsche Hirntumorhilfe e.V.), a nonprofit organisation, first marked this day in the year 2000 to spread awareness about the brain tumour among the general public.

World Autoimmune Arthritis Day

RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy observes ‘World Autoimmune Arthritis Day 2021’ on 20th May 2021 marking this special day of observance.

The International Foundation for Autoimmune & Autoinflammatory Arthritis has orchestrated an annual campaign since 2012 to raise awareness of diseases that are autoimmune in nature and that cause joint inflammation and pain. That includes such diseases as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and Sjögren’s syndrome, to name a few. World Autoimmune/Autoinflammatory Arthritis Day is May 20 this year. The theme, with a nod to the “auto” prefix, is “Race to Fuel Awareness.” The ASBMB will observe WAAAD by sharing research and stories about the mechanisms of the diseases.

#WorldAsthmaDay (WAD) is organized by the Global Initiative for Asthma, (GINA) (www.ginasthma.org), a World Health Organization collaborative organization founded in 1993. WAD is held each May to raise awareness of Asthma worldwide.

World Asthma Day is celebrated on the first Tuesday of every May. This year it falls on May 4. World Asthma Day is an annual event celebrated to improve asthma awareness, care, and support for those who are affected by Asthma around the world. This is of greater significance this year owing to the Covid-19 Pandemic!
