World Rose day is celebrated on September 22 each year to honour those who are battling the fatal disease. The day is observed in the memory of Melinda Rose who was diagnosed with a rare type of blood cancer at twelve years of age. She spent her whole life inspiring others to fight the disease.

Cancer can affect many things in life, but it cannot cripple the love you have in your heart. Wishing all the survivors a wonderful Rose day and a miraculous recovery.

World Alzheimer’s Day is observed on September 21, every year to raise awareness, educate about Alzheimer’s and Dementia. This day signifies to understand the importance of talking about dementia and demystify it. Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease that causes brain cells to degenerate and die.

#worldOzoneDay – September 16 was designated by the United Nations General Assembly as the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. This designation had been made on December 19, 2000, in commemoration of the date, in 1987, on which nations signed the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.

The Nation celebrates Engineers Day on September 15 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. From 1912 to 1918, M. Visvesvaraya was appointed as the Diwan of Mysore. As a chief engineer, he constructed Mysore’s famous Krishna Raja Sagara Dam.
