World Post Day is an international day that happens each year on October 9, the anniversary of the Universal Postal Union, which started in 1874 in Switzerland. The UPU was the start of the global communications revolution, introducing the ability to write letter to others all over the world.

Indian Air Force Day is celebrated every year on 8 October. This day marks the anniversary of establishment of Indian Air Force (#IAF) in the year 1932. The Indian Air Force has participated in various wars and missions (including humanitarian aid and disaster relief missions during natural calamities). It has been growing ever since and plays a very significant role in Indian’s Defence.

International Day of NonViolence is observed on 2 October, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. In January 2004, Iranian Nobel laureate Shirin Ebadi had taken a proposal for an International Day of Non-Violence from a Hindi teacher in Paris teaching international students to the World Social Forum in Mumbai

RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy observes ‘International Day of Sign Languages 2021’ on 23rd September 2021 marking this special day of importance.

International Day of Sign Languages is celebrated annually across the world on 23 September every year along with International Week of the Deaf. The choice of 23 September is the same date that the World Federation of the Deaf was established in 1951.

The UN General Assembly has proclaimed 23 September as the International Day of Sign Languages in order to raise awareness of the importance of sign language in the full realization of the human rights of people who are deaf.
