RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy observes ‘National Mathematics Day 2020’ on 22nd December 2020 marking this special day of observance.

National Mathematics Day is celebrated every year on December 22 across the nation to recognise and celebrate the works of Srinivasa Ramanujan. It was on this day in 1887, the great Indian mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan was born. This was announced by then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on 26 February 2012 at Madras University, during the inaugural ceremony of the celebrations to mark the 125th anniversary of the birth of the Indian mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan (22 Dec 1887- 26 Apr 1920). He has scaled greater heights in Mathematics excellence globally, before passing away at a young age of 32 years also proving that age has no say in achievements.

Every year on December 20th, International Human Solidarity Day seeks to celebrate the word’s unity in diversity. It’s also a day to raise awareness about the importance of solidarity, which is defined as an awareness of shared interests and objectives that create a psychological sense of unity. Solidarity also refers to the ties in a society that bind people together as one.

The meaning and message of International Migrants Day is – We learn together, create together, work together, sing, dance, and play together. We live together. International Migrants Day is observed on December 18 every year and all migrants are entitled to equal protection of all their human rights. As the change is commencing, treating every migrant with dignity is one of the fundamental requirements in today’s world.

International Energy Conservation Day is observed on December 14 every year. It focuses on creating awareness in people regarding the importance of energy conservation and ways to achieve it in order to deal with the crisis of climate change and global warming.

International Mountain Day is celebrated annually on 11 December to to create awareness about the importance of mountains to life, to highlight the opportunities and constraints in mountain development, and to build alliances that will bring positive change to mountain peoples and environments around the world.

Human Rights Day is celebrated annually across the world on 10 December every year. The date was chosen to honor the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption and proclamation, on 10 December 1948. We shall imbibe within ourselves, the strong notion, we need to stand up for our own rights and those of others…

Corruption is a complex social, political and economic phenomenon that affects all countries. Corruption undermines democratic institutions, slows economic development and contributes to governmental instability.
Governments, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, the media and citizens around the world are joining forces to fight this crime. The United Nations Development Programme(#UNDP) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (#UNODC) are at the forefront of these efforts.
