The Department of Physiotherapy, Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy, in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine, Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital (RRMCH), organized a Pediatric Community Health Awareness Programme at Government School, K.R. Halli, Bengaluru. The programme was conducted to educate school children on the importance of maintaining proper posture and engaging in regular physical activity for healthy growth, physical fitness, and the prevention of musculoskeletal problems.

As part of the awareness initiative, undergraduate (BPT) students presented an engaging educational skit emphasizing the significance of correct posture during daily activities such as sitting, standing, carrying school bags, and studying. The skit also highlighted the benefits of adopting healthy lifestyle habits from an early age.

Postgraduate (MPT) students conducted interactive demonstrations of simple stretching and mobility exercises designed to improve flexibility, posture, and overall physical fitness. The school children enthusiastically participated in the exercise session, making the programme both educational and engaging.

The programme concluded with an interactive discussion, during which students were encouraged to practice healthy posture, remain physically active, and incorporate regular exercise into their daily routine. The initiative was well appreciated by the school authorities, teachers, and students, reflecting the Department’s commitment to promoting preventive healthcare and fostering healthy lifestyle practices among children through community outreach.
