An awareness session on ragging, drug addiction, and the importance of maintaining a safe and healthy educational environment was conducted for the newly joined BPT students on 11 September at 2:00 PM at Kadamba Hall.
The session featured insightful talks by Dr. Sangeetha, Professor, Department of Microbiology and Anti-Ragging Chairperson, who highlighted the importance of preventing ragging and fostering a respectful and supportive campus environment. Dr. Preetha Thomas, Consultant Psychologist, Public Health Expert and Educator, addressed the psychological and social consequences of drug addiction and emphasized the importance of seeking guidance and making responsible choices.Dr. Jibi Deepak, Professor and Head of the Department of Neuro Sciences, also shared valuable guidance with the fresher students, encouraging them to maintain discipline, develop positive relationships, and make the most of their academic journey.
The programme served as a meaningful orientation for the new students, promoting awareness, responsibility, and a safe campus culture.
