The Sports Committee of Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy proudly organized MULTIVERSE MADNESS 2026 on 14th & 15th July 2026, bringing together the four dynamic groups: Omega, Nova, Quantum, and Alpha for two days filled with excitement, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The sports meet featured thrilling outdoor events including Volleyball (Boys & Girls), Football (Boys), Basketball (Boys & Girls), Tug of War (Boys & Girls), and Throwball (Boys & Girls). Indoor events such as Chess, Carrom, and Table Tennis (Boys & Girls) tested the participants’ skill, strategy, and determination.
Every cheer echoed team spirit, every match celebrated determination, and every participant proved that true victory lies in giving their best. The enthusiasm displayed by students made the campus come alive with energy and excitement.
The Sports Committee, along with the faculty members and student coordinators, ensured the successful conduct of every event. MULTIVERSE MADNESS 2026 concluded on a memorable note, strengthening friendships, promoting fitness, and celebrating the true essence of sports.

Theme: Importance of Right Posture and Physical Activity
The Department of Physiotherapy, Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy, in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine, Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital (RRMCH), organized a Pediatric Community Health Awareness Programme at Government School, K.R. Halli, Bengaluru. The programme was conducted to educate school children on the importance of maintaining proper posture and engaging in regular physical activity for healthy growth, physical fitness, and the prevention of musculoskeletal problems.
As part of the awareness initiative, undergraduate (BPT) students presented an engaging educational skit emphasizing the significance of correct posture during daily activities such as sitting, standing, carrying school bags, and studying. The skit also highlighted the benefits of adopting healthy lifestyle habits from an early age.
Postgraduate (MPT) students conducted interactive demonstrations of simple stretching and mobility exercises designed to improve flexibility, posture, and overall physical fitness. The school children enthusiastically participated in the exercise session, making the programme both educational and engaging.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion, during which students were encouraged to practice healthy posture, remain physically active, and incorporate regular exercise into their daily routine. The initiative was well appreciated by the school authorities, teachers, and students, reflecting the Department’s commitment to promoting preventive healthcare and fostering healthy lifestyle practices among children through community outreach.

The Department of Physiotherapy, Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy, organized a Community Health Camp on Brain Health Awareness at CHC, Chunchunkuppe, near Chandrappa Circle, Bengaluru.
Final-year BPT students created awareness through poster presentations, educational charts, and a skit, highlighting the importance of brain health, early recognition of neurological conditions, stroke warning signs, and healthy lifestyle practices to promote overall neurological well-being.
Postgraduate (MPT) students assessed and treated patients presenting with knee pain, low back pain, and difficulty in walking. They provided evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, therapeutic exercises, pain management strategies, gait training, and patient education to improve functional independence and quality of life.
The camp provided valuable opportunities for students to strengthen their clinical, communication, and patient management skills while fostering community awareness about brain health and reinforcing the vital role of physiotherapy in the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
A heartfelt farewell was organized for the Interns and 2nd Year PGs celebrating their incredible journey at the College of Physiotherapy.

From energetic dance performances by our BPT students to exciting games specially organized for the interns and 2nd-year PGs, everyone had a wonderful time creating memories together.One of the most emotional moments of the day was the candle-light exchange ceremony, where the 2nd-year PG students officially handed over their responsibilities to the 1st-year PG students, symbolizing leadership, trust, and the continuation of a beautiful legacy.Thoughtful gifts were presented to the interns and 2nd-year PG students as a token of appreciation for their dedication and contributions to the institution. The celebration concluded with a delicious meal, bringing everyone together to share stories, smiles, and best wishes for the future.

The event was organized under the theme, **”Statistics for Sustainable Development and Data-Driven Decision Making,”** highlighting the vital role of statistics in evidence-based practice, research, policymaking, and sustainable development. The program emphasized how statistical analysis supports informed decision-making, enhances research quality, and drives innovation across healthcare and various other sectors.
Faculty members, students, and distinguished dignitaries actively participated in the celebration, making it an enriching platform to promote statistical literacy and foster a deeper appreciation for data-driven approaches in education, research, and clinical practice.

Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy enthusiastically participated in the Green Bengaluru Plantation Drive 2026, organized by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) on 27 June 2026 as part of the 517th Birth Anniversary (Jayanti) of Nadaprabhu Sri Kempegowda. The initiative reflected the institution’s commitment to environmental sustainability, community engagement, and social responsibility.
The mega environmental initiative, launched under the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri D. K. Shivakumar, aimed to plant 15 lakh native saplings across Bengaluru in a single day as part of a Guinness World Record attempt. Spearheaded by BDA Chairman Shri N. A. Haris, the campaign sought to restore Bengaluru’s green cover, enhance biodiversity, mitigate the Urban Heat Island effect, and promote long-term environmental sustainability
Faculty members and Bachelor of Physiotherapy students enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive at Zone 9, joining more than 50,000 volunteers across 314 plantation sites in 49 zones, covering approximately 243 acres. The initiative brought together government departments, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), corporate organizations, and citizens in a collective effort to build a greener, healthier, and more sustainable Bengaluru.
The faculty and students actively planted native saplings and contributed towards the city’s vision of environmental conservation and sustainable urban development. Their enthusiastic participation reflected the institution’s strong commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and meaningful community engagement. The programme also served as an opportunity to instill environmental awareness and ecological responsibility among future healthcare professionals, emphasizing that a healthy environment is fundamental to a healthy community.

Organized in association with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Dishabodh Foundation, the event featured a Walkathon and the Nasha Mukta Bharat Conclave, promoting a drug-free, healthy, and socially responsible society.
The programme was graced by the Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, as the Chief Guest and presided over by the Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka and Chancellor of RGUHS, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot. The event was attended by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri D. K. Shivakumar, Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Justice (Retd.) Shri S. Abdul Nazeer, RGUHS Vice-Chancellor Dr. Bhagavan B. C., along with distinguished academicians, healthcare professionals, and dignitaries.
During the conclave, the Hon’ble Vice-President emphasized the importance of a whole-of-society approach in combating substance abuse and encouraged educational institutions and healthcare professionals to lead the Nasha Mukta Bharat movement through awareness, prevention, research, and community engagement.
Faculty members, Bachelor of Physiotherapy students, and Master of Physiotherapy students of Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy enthusiastically participated in the Walkathon and awareness programme. The Department also supported the National Pulse Polio Programme by administering the Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) to a child, reaffirming its commitment to preventive healthcare, public health promotion, community service, and nation-building through healthcare education.

The Department of Sports Physiotherapy, Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy, actively participated in the Kempegowda Run 2026, organized by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) on 27 June 2026 at SM Krishna Road, Challaghatta Metro Station, Bengaluru, as part of the 517th Birth Anniversary (Jayanti) celebrations of Nadaprabhu Sri Kempegowda. The event promoted community health, physical fitness, and active lifestyles.
The event, conducted under the leadership of the Government of Karnataka, promoted physical fitness, healthy living, and community participation through a 10 km Run and 5 km Walkathon.
First-Year Postgraduate students (Sports Physiotherapy), under the guidance of faculty members, provided dedicated Sports Physiotherapy Services to the participants. Their responsibilities included conducting pre-event warm-up sessions, providing on-field injury assessment and first aid, managing minor sports injuries, assisting with post-event recovery through stretching and cool-down exercises, and educating participants on hydration, recovery, and injury prevention.
The programme provided valuable hands-on clinical exposure in sports event coverage while reinforcing the department’s commitment to sports medicine, community service, experiential learning, and the promotion of active and healthy lifestyles.
