The Department of Physiotherapy successfully organized a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) program on the topic “Bridging Gaps in Clinical Care Role of Pelvic Physiotherapy in OBG Care” on 7th January 2026.

The program commenced at 9.30 AM with a welcome address, followed by a lamp lighting ceremony and prayer. The event was graced by Dr. B.M Roopakala, HOD- Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, who addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights on the importance of physiotherapy in women’s health care. This was followed by an address by the Principal, Dr. P. Balasubramanian, who highlighted the role of pelvic physiotherapy in enhancing comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care. The speaker of the programme, Dr. Vishnu Priya P (PT), Women’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, delivered an expert talk on the role of pelvic physiotherapy in OBG care. The session was highly informative and interactive, with active audience participation through questions and discussion, and clarification of doubts by the speaker. An additional academic session was conducted by Dr.Akhila S, Assistant Professor, RRCP, further enriching the learning experience for the participants.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students, interns, and faculty members. The CPE program concluded with a vote of thanks at 1:00 PM. The event was academically enriching and marked a significant step towards srengthening women’s health and OBG physiotherapy services at the institution.

Rajarajeshwari College of Physiotherapy celebrated Christmas in the campus with joy and festive spirit.

Rajarajeshwari College of Physiotherapy celebrated Christmas in the campus with joy and festive spirit.The programme featured a reflective talk highlighting the birth of Jesus Christ, emphasizing His message of love and sacrifice to humanity. The celebration also included carol singing bringing together faculty and students and the presence of Santa Claus, adding to the festive spirit.

The programme fostered a sense of unity and positivity on campus while promoting values of love, harmony, and togetherness. The celebration was graced by the presence of the Principal, teaching and non-teaching faculty. It concluded with the distribution of Christmas cake, followed by group photographs, making it a memorable occasion for all.

The programme was successfully completed with the guidance and support from the Principal sir and sincerely thankful for the opportunity and for encouraging the celebration.

We successfully conducted a Diabetic Neuropathy Screening Camp at Chunchunguppe, aimed at early detection, awareness, and empowering the community towards healthier living.

Key Activities Included:
• Neuropathy screening for individuals at risk
• Awareness sessions on diabetes management
• Education on foot care, ulcer prevention & home care practices
• Guidance on lifestyle modifications for better metabolic control
• Balance and gait assessment to identify mobility risks
• On-spot treatment advice & physiotherapy consultation

The camp received an enthusiastic response from the community. Together, we move towards a healthier tomorrow! 

World stroke day 2025

World stroke day was celebrated on 29/10/2025
Dr. Hitha Sherin U (PT), Dr. Chaitha (PT) and post-graduate students shared insights about NEUROPLASTICITY and EFFICACY OF EARLY STROKE REHABILITATION.
Post graduate students and BPT Ist year students presented posters – “EVERY MINUTE COUNTS”.
The students also enthusiastically performed in flash mob and skit to create awareness to the patients.


1st Year BPT Students Orientation for AY 2025-26

The orientation programme for the Ist year Bachelor of Physiotherapy students admitted for the academic year 2025-26 was conducted in the college campus on 10th October 2025, Friday from 09.00 A.M. onwards.

The program started by welcoming the first year students followed with address by The Principal, continued with introduction of the faculties and self introduction by the students .The programme ended with vote of thanks and refreshment.

Topic : Healthy Aging – Fall Prevention and Preventing Fragility

On 8th September 2025, in celebration of World Physiotherapy Day, RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy, Bengaluru organized a scientific program on the theme “Healthy Aging” – Fall Prevention & Preventing Frailty. The event was conducted at RRCP campus and witnessed enthusiastic participation from Faculty, Students, and invited Experts from the field of Physiotherapy.

The program commenced with an Inaugural ceremony, followed by a series of thematic talk, by the eminent speaker Darshan Kamalakar, PT, Founder of KRIDA CARE, Bengaluru, delivered a session on “Importance of Strength Training for Healthy Aging” and second speaker by Ramesh Debur Visweswara, PT, Associate Professor Department of Physiotherapy, M.S.Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru, spoke on “ Life in Balance: Falls in the Elderly” and third speaker by Jerrish A Jose, PT, Senior Consultant in Ergonomics & Pain Management, spoke about “ Ergonomics & Healthy Aging: Moving well, Living Better”. The Speakers Highlighted on the role of Physiotherapy in Strength Training, preserving Independence, awareness & strategies on risk of fall and finally on various ergonomics aspects on every day activities at house and occupational environments.
Concurrently, with the expert talk, students presented poster on various topics related to the theme which includes, Physiological concepts in Aging, Assessment & Components of Fitness, Flexible & Strength in Healthy Aging by the UG Students and “Recent evidence in Rehabilitation from PG Students.

In adjacent Panel Discussion was conducted for PG students on the theme “Physiotherapy at the core of Healthy Aging”. It was a highly engaging session, where students shared their knowledge based on their perception and experiences in their field of specialty & prospect in prompting Healthy aging. Later the programme followed with various cultural activities by students and the program concluded with valedictory Function.
