World Physiotherapy Day, the students and staffs of RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy entered the mall to create the awareness of low back pain and the role of physiotherapy in its management and prevention for the people who visited the mall within the mall lobby. We started with the flash mob to get the attention of the people gathered in the mall followed by an awareness skit regarding low back pain and the role of physiotherapy in treating low back pain. The people inside the mall were attentive and responsive, that way we could counsel them and distributed the pamphlets regarding managing and preventing low back pain with physiotherapy.

On Account of World Physiotherapy Day 2024, Voluntary Blood Donation programme was organized by RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy in association with Blood Bank, RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital. The programme started with lamp lighting by the dignitaries Chief Guest Dr. Meena (Principal of RRAHS), Dr. Latha (Blood Bank Officer), Dr. P. Balasubramanian (Principal of RRCP). Followed by the speech by Chief guest, Total 22 donors participated and received certificate for the same. All Faculty members and Students of RajaRajeswari group of Institutions actively participated in the camp and made the event grand success.

This year the theme for awareness is on LOW BACK PAIN AND THE ROLE OF PHYSIOTHERAPY IN IT’S MANAGEMENT AND PREVENTION as notified by World Confederation of Physiotherapy(WTPT). With respect to the theme, World Physiotherapy day was celebrated from 03/09/2024 to 05/09/2024 at RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy, Bangalore. An awareness program about ERGONOMICS to prevent LOW BACK PAIN was oriented and benefitted by patients,Students,Doctors,Computer,Operators, Technicians, Drivers and attenders through ERGONOMIC STALLS. ERGONOMIC STALLS were arranged in various locations of MEDICAL COLLEGE and HOSPITAL campus. Awareness about ergonomics to prevent low back pain was briefed with demonstration as well as through pamphlets and models.

Indoor and Outdoor games were conducted where all students of RRCP actively participated in sports. Carrom, chess, throwball, volleyball, cricket, football, and tug-of-war were the sports events. Awards and prizes were given as a token of appreciation.
