Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy, Bengaluru organised a symposium in collaboration with Department of Neurology/General medicine on account of WORLD STROKE DAY at Kadamba Hall,RRMCH.
The programme started with welcome speech which was followed by lamp lighting by all the dignitaries Dr. B.Sathyamurthy – Dean, RRMCH, Dr.Praveen Kumar, Medical Superintendent, RRMCH and Dr.M .V. Krishna, HOD, General Medicine RRMCH with their gracious presence .
This year the theme for World Stroke Day was # Greater Than Stroke Active Challenge. The programme was enlighten with talk on ‘’ B.E.F.A.S.T in recognising stroke ‘’ by Dr Shreya, Neurologist ,RRMCH and Dr Madhusudhan , PG student from Dept of General medicine followed with talk on’’ Motor relearning programme in treatment of balance impairments in stroke patients’’ by Dr.Hitha Sherin. U (PT), Lecturer, RRCP.
Later, the PG students of RRCP presented with poster on importance of sports and physical activity in prevention of stroke and inclusion of stroke patients into sports post stroke.
The Staffs, Postgraduate and Undergraduate students of RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy and RRMCH enthusiastically participated in this programme and got benefitted.
