World stroke day was celebrated on 29/10/2025
Dr. Hitha Sherin U (PT), Dr. Chaitha (PT) and post-graduate students shared insights about NEUROPLASTICITY and EFFICACY OF EARLY STROKE REHABILITATION.
Post graduate students and BPT Ist year students presented posters – “EVERY MINUTE COUNTS”.
The students also enthusiastically performed in flash mob and skit to create awareness to the patients.


1st Year BPT Students Orientation for AY 2025-26

The orientation programme for the Ist year Bachelor of Physiotherapy students admitted for the academic year 2025-26 was conducted in the college campus on 10th October 2025, Friday from 09.00 A.M. onwards.

The program started by welcoming the first year students followed with address by The Principal, continued with introduction of the faculties and self introduction by the students .The programme ended with vote of thanks and refreshment.

World Physiotherapy Day – 2025 is celebrated on 08/09/2025

Topic : Healthy Aging – Fall Prevention and Preventing Fragility

On 8th September 2025, in celebration of World Physiotherapy Day, RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy, Bengaluru organized a scientific program on the theme “Healthy Aging” – Fall Prevention & Preventing Frailty. The event was conducted at RRCP campus and witnessed enthusiastic participation from Faculty, Students, and invited Experts from the field of Physiotherapy.

The program commenced with an Inaugural ceremony, followed by a series of thematic talk, by the eminent speaker Darshan Kamalakar, PT, Founder of KRIDA CARE, Bengaluru, delivered a session on “Importance of Strength Training for Healthy Aging” and second speaker by Ramesh Debur Visweswara, PT, Associate Professor Department of Physiotherapy, M.S.Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru, spoke on “ Life in Balance: Falls in the Elderly” and third speaker by Jerrish A Jose, PT, Senior Consultant in Ergonomics & Pain Management, spoke about “ Ergonomics & Healthy Aging: Moving well, Living Better”. The Speakers Highlighted on the role of Physiotherapy in Strength Training, preserving Independence, awareness & strategies on risk of fall and finally on various ergonomics aspects on every day activities at house and occupational environments.
Concurrently, with the expert talk, students presented poster on various topics related to the theme which includes, Physiological concepts in Aging, Assessment & Components of Fitness, Flexible & Strength in Healthy Aging by the UG Students and “Recent evidence in Rehabilitation from PG Students.

In adjacent Panel Discussion was conducted for PG students on the theme “Physiotherapy at the core of Healthy Aging”. It was a highly engaging session, where students shared their knowledge based on their perception and experiences in their field of specialty & prospect in prompting Healthy aging. Later the programme followed with various cultural activities by students and the program concluded with valedictory Function.

Brahmaverse ’25 – Annual Sports and Cultural Meet

“Brahmaverse ’25 Annual Sports and Cultural Meet was inaugurated on 18th August 2025 (Monday) at Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy, Bangalore.

“Brahmaverse ’25 Annual Sports and Cultural Meet was inaugurated on 18th August 2025 (Monday) at Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy, Bangalore. The meet will continue with a series of exciting sports and cultural competitions through the enthusiastic and energetic performances by our students over the coming days until 23.08.2025.” Students from all batches will compete with Great Spirit and determination, showcasing their skills and celebrating unity through diversity.

The grand opening ceremony marked the beginning with prayer song and a vibrant tradition dance and followed by a welcome address by the Principal in opening the “Bramavarsh ’25 Annual Sports and Cultural Meet”.

Dignitaries from the institution and esteemed guests graced the occasion, encouraging students to participate with enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

The college eagerly looks forward in the days ahead, filled with energy, excellence, and memorable moments of ” Brahmaverse’25″.

As part of the ongoing Department Programme, RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy, Bangalore organized an informative session on “Disinfection of Electrodes and Method to Dilute Disinfectant Solution” on 14th August 2025 (Thursday) from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the college campus.

The session was conducted by the Hospital Infection Control Committee and focused on safe and effective practices for disinfecting electrodes, as well as the correct proportioning and preparation of disinfectant solutions. The session provided critical knowledge essential for patient care, which emphasized the importance of infection control to prevent the risk of cross-contamination in clinical settings.

The programme was attended by Faculty members, Postgraduate students, and BPT Internees, all of whom found the session highly beneficial and relevant to their clinical practice.

Anti Ragging Week 2025

On the theme of anti ragging week 2025, Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy, Bengaluru, organized an awareness programme on “Say NO To Ragging” for students on 12th August 2025

On the theme of Anti ragging week 2025, Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy, Bengaluru, organized an awareness programme on “Say NO To Ragging” for students on 12th August 2025 , to empower students against ragging and contribute to a safer campus to all students.

The event commenced with a welcome address, followed by a speech by Dr. P. Balasubramanian . P T, Principal of Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy, Bengaluru. In his address, he emphasized the significance of nurturing a safe, respectful, and appropriate campus environment by firmly saying “No To Ragging”. Also the awareness speech aimed to educate students about what constitutes ragging, the legal and institutional penalties associated with it, and the available mechanisms for reporting incidents—whether as victims or witnesses.

The program followed awareness rally around the campus. And ended with vote of thanks.

The programme started with a welcome speech which was followed by lamp lighting by all the dignitaries Dr. B. Sathyamurthy – Dean, RRMCH, Dr. Praveen Kumar, Medical Superintendent, RRMCH, the speaker of the day Mr. SITARAM VIKRAM SUJIR, Counselor and Career Consultant and Dr. P. Balasubramanian, Principal, Rajarajeswari College of Physiotherapy, Bangalore with their gracious presence . Then the programme followed with the Introduction of the speaker and continued with the enlighten talk on the causes and how to prevent from the drug addiction
The programme concluded with vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Speaker. Participants and organizers in their valuable learning experience.
